1. Scope

These Terms apply to installation and use of the Unica product, including functions that require network access. They do not establish rules for other products.

Installing or using Unica signifies acceptance of these Terms for matters not governed by the software license. Software rights are governed separately by LGPL-3.0-or-later.

2. Provider and product boundaries

Ingvar Consulting, LLC provides Unica and publishes the product documentation. Primary project operations run in the user environment.

Unica does not grant access rights to another person’s projects, infobases, or software. The user is responsible for having a lawful basis to work with the selected materials and systems.

3. Software license

Rights to use, study, modify, and distribute Unica are granted under LGPL-3.0-or-later, the text of which is included in the distribution.

If these Terms conflict with the license on copyright permissions, the exact LGPL text applies. These Terms do not add prohibitions to the license or reduce the rights it grants.

Rights to third-party components are governed by their own licenses.

4. User responsibility

Unica performs actions at the user’s command and may change files, run validations, and access configured infobases.

Before applying a result, the user must assess the changes, validate them in an appropriate environment, and ensure that the necessary rights and backups are available.

  • limit the workspace and permissions to what is necessary;
  • use version control and backups;
  • review code and metadata changes;
  • test the result in a safe environment first;
  • do not transfer passwords, access keys, or personal data unless necessary.

5. The external product ai.v8std.ru

Individual Unica functions use the external product ai.v8std.ru for standards search and explanation. The information transferred is described in “Unica Data and Privacy.”

Declining these functions does not reduce rights to Unica under LGPL. Functions that require an ai.v8std.ru response will be unavailable when declined.

6. Third-party components

Unica depends on Codex, GitHub, MCP, the operating system, the 1C platform, and other tools selected by the user. Their availability and terms are determined by the respective rights holders.

The Unica provider does not promise compatibility with every past or future version of a third-party component. Supported combinations are stated in the documentation for the relevant Unica version.

7. Versions and support

The user independently decides whether to install a new Unica version. Before updating, the user should review the change description and requirements for the relevant version.

Provision of Unica does not create a paid support agreement or a guaranteed availability commitment. Such obligations may arise only under a separate agreement.

8. Warranties and liability

The exact LGPL text governs the disclaimer of warranties and limitations of liability for the software itself.

The user is responsible for validating the result, maintaining backups, and deciding whether to apply changes in a working environment. The provider does not promise that the result will fit every particular task.

These Terms do not exclude liability or user rights to the extent that they cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Law, language, and contact

The law of the Russian Federation applies to these Terms to the extent applicable. Questions about Unica may be sent to i@ingvar.pro.

The Russian text is the original and prevails. The English text is an official translation and does not amend the LGPL license.
